Food!

I'm sorry if everyone is getting sick of my food posts, but I just have found a new passion for cooking/baking and I like to share it with people! This first one is a dish I made for myself one night when mom and dad were gone. I roasted some sweet potatoes and asparagus (which I have found a new love for) on the stove. You can use oil, but I didn't. I then mixed it with a hard boiled egg, and let me tell you, I loved it! It was absolutely delicious!!! I also made some fresh juice from 2 big carrots, 1/2 an apple, and an orange with the juicer. It was soooo good!!!!!!This below is a cookie cake that I tried to make, but it really wasn't good. It was kind of tasteless and the cocoa nibs I used didn't work for me. Maybe carob chips would be better...? There is a coconut, maple syrup frosting on top that helped a little.

These are some truffles I made for my Spanish class. They were pretty good and I was surprised that some people in my class actually like them because they were sugar and gluten free.
These are some honey-almond power bar that I've made for two weeks in a row now. They are absolutely delicious. They're a great snack before dance for a little energy boost. These are definitely a must make!

Pride & Prejudice Ball

Here are some pictures of the Pride and Prejudice Ball we had in my English class. It's kind of tradition to do this after we read the book. It was a lot of fun, though a little bit more boring than I thought it would be.

My Bathroom Story

Ok, so upon the request of several family members I have decided to share this bathroom story with you all. You might be wondering how anything in the bathroom can be related into a story, let alone one to share on my blog. I almost guarantee that you will be rolling around laughing after you read it. Ok, maybe not, but we were laughing harder than I think I've ever laughed when I told it.
Anyway, let's cut to the chase. So this happened several months ago, but I was at school and naturally I have to go to the bathroom between EVERY class. So I was making my hourly bathroom run and confidently walked into one of the stalls. Well, as I was reaching towards the toilet paper I realized there was none there (I hadn't noticed because of course the empty rolls are white too). Not only was there none there, but there was also no backup rolls. This is like my worst nightmare, and to make matters worse it was in between classes, so it's super loud and time is short. I could barely hear my own voice. So, as I'm sitting there panic and desperation flood into me as I realize that no one will hear me ask for them to hand me some toilet paper. Out of time's sake I swallowed my fear and called to the person next to me, "could you hand me some toilet paper?". My heart was pounding in my chest as I anxiously waited to see if she had heard me. Well, to my luck (or so I thought), the girl handed me some toilet paper. I grabbed it and just sat there looking at it in disbelief, with my mouth hanging open. She had handed me one single little square of toilet paper. WHO in the world gives someone just ONE SQUARE of toilet paper!!!!!!!!! Mind you this is the (sorry for the language) crapy school toilet paper that pretty much dissolves in your hands, and feels like sandpaper. To this day I still can't believe she gave me just one little square!!!! Well, in necessity to get to class on time I used that little square as best I could and made my way to class still in utter amazement at what had just occurred. This all happened in 6 short minutes, and luckily I was able to make to class on time.
I know it's kind of long, but I hope you were rolling with laughter like I was.
