Montreal, Canada

So, I tried to do this post right after I got back but for some reason it wouldn't publish it, there's my defense for doing it so late anyway. The first week of May our dance company went to National Regional Dance America in Montreal, Canada (yes ironic I know!). They have these every year but usually they're only in regions not national. I was super nervous but excited to go. I didn't know what to expect, but it ended up being a really neat experience. I was able to bond a with the other girls which was really fun!

These were my two roommates! They were both 13 years old, so for the first time in my life I felt like an older sister!

This was one of the stores near our hotel. It was really cool because they were like Good Earth's-Canadian style. They had a bunch of healthy food! I literally could have spent hours in there! Anyway, this sign supposedly says "For your mother on mother's day" in French.
This was breakfast at Tim Horton's. It's like a Starbuck's but wider known. We went there everyday, and I got maple oatmeal and yogurt everyday. Yeah, needless to say I did not want oatmeal when I got back. They put maple syrup in it thought and it was devine.
The colorful building was the convention center where we danced everyday.
This is part of the actual Berlin Wall. We saw it on the walking tour we went to one afternoon. It was really fun to see the city and get out of the convention center. I was amazed at how much history Montreal has. It's a beautiful city. It reminded me a lot of Europe. They also have the biggest underground city in the world. You could pretty much walk in any store in Montreal and be able to get down to the tunnels. It's awesome!
This picture does not do the Notre Dame Cathedral justice. It was absolutely stunning!
This was a grocery cart in one of the grocery stores. I got the biggest kick out of it. I felt like I was in the zoo!
This is just us making a wish (we of course were all making the same wish to do amazing during our performance!).
There was a place in the food court where you could get freshly squeezed juice and I of course took advantage of it. It was delicious!!
This was our amazing dressing room before our performance. We performed Saturday night which is really a big honor, but at the same time it is extremely difficult. It takes a huge amount of physical and mental and emotional strength to perform on Saturday because everyone is sooo tired from the week.We did it though, and it was so much fun! The stage was HUGE! I tried not to look out because i lost my breath every time!

This goes back to one of the first pictures. It's the famous TIme Horton's.
This was right after our performance before the closing gala. I was kind of bummed because everyone was super depressed after and just felt like we did awful. It kind of ruined the magical feeling for me. I thought it was so fun and amazing that we performed. It was a celebratory thing to me, but apparently to no one else.

That looks so fun! I'm glad you got to see some fun things and be an older sister and eat healthy food (I'm definitely not doing too well with the healthy part over here, so good job!). I'm glad that you had fun and were happy with the performance even if the others weren't!
