It's hard to believe that yet another week has flown by! It actually was a pretty quiet week. School came and went each day. It's getting harder and harder, but still manageable. The other day it started pounding rain, and we could barely hear our teacher. I realized as school got out that I didn't have my phone with me and I had no idea what mom and dad's numbers were, so I decided to walk home despite the rain! I thought about getting a tuk tuk, but was having way too much fun splashing in the flooding streets and getting soaked to the bone!! It's all part of the adventure right?!
On Saturday we went on a small boat excursion to see some Silk Farms with all of the Senior couples. We thought there would be silk worms, but unfortunately they moved them all to Siem Reap. It was still fun and interesting to see how they weave. We got to try as well. It definitely a lot harder than it looks. It takes some mega coordination. I got several scarves (some to use as table settings in Relief Society :)!These people live on their tiny boats. They are also playing volleyball on the shore. Wow.
This is an empty boat on its way to be filled up with something.
This is a full boat on it's way to be emptied.
Apple Crumble Bake!!(IT WAS SO YUMMY! THIS IS DAD TALKING!) Seriously, that was dad!
I was really feeling like a crumbly, oaty, cinnamony bake for some reason. So,I cut up some apples, mixed up some oats, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt together, put it on the apples, and baked it! I had no idea it would be so good! OH MY GOODNESS! It was perfect! It tasted like apple pie!!! I easily could have eaten the entire pan (hence the reason to make single portions :)!!
I also made dinner on Sunday. It was Bamboo, Fish, and Rice Soup without the Bamboo. It was in my Cambodian cookbook. It was yummy. It wasn't my favorite, favorite, but everyone else loved it!
